My Michael Jackson Experience
The Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour
by Cirque du Soleil
This past Wednesday I had the opportunity to check out the latest Cirque du Soleil masterpiece, the Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour. As always they did not disappoint. The show was wonderful, exciting, emotional, breath-taking and pure genius. It’s hard to put into words because my mouth hung open half the show. Amazing is an understatement. It was just one surprise after another, one hit song after another. The typical acrobatics that Cirque du Soleil is known for, as well as the magnificent dance routines Michael Jackson was notorious for. Although Michael passed in 2009 his presence was definitely felt in the arena. It was a non-stop sing-a-long. The entertainers danced and performed to hits such as …
Billie Jean
Smooth Criminal
I Just Can’t Stop Loving You
Dangerous
Black & White
I’ve had these tickets for two months prior to the show and I started planning my outfit as soon as I left the box office. I was going to represent my love for MJ. Yes Indeed! So I paired a MJ “Beat It” Tee from H&M with black textured skinny jeans from H&M as well, black studded loafers by Steve Madden, a studded bracelet from F21 and to add a pop of color a mustard clutch I’ve had for awhile from Nordstrom BP. Makeup: Eye shadow and Paint Pot by MAC, lip gloss and nail polish by Revlon.
Not only was the show great, they made my life!!! They played my all time favorite Michael song during the closing performance, “Man in the Mirror”. No they didn’t!!! Yes Lawd they did, that’s my JAM!!!
This opportunity is one I’ll remember forever, just like when I saw the King of Pop as child. R.I.P MJ
